Charlotte's 'Cleopatra' Milk Bath

I've been so excited to share about Charlotte's milk baths because they are something wonderful.
They have been so good for her skin and simply fun to make for her.
She deals with bouts of dry patchy skin/baby eczema and then I remembered/came across the benefits of milk baths. If you're unsure of what a milk bath is, google it! It's really neat & they say famous people like Cleopatra & Queen Elizabeth were known for them! haha!
I won't bore you with all of the wonderful benefits it provides for your skin so I'll leave the research up to you! but essentially it's great for moisturizing, exfoliating, and treating/healing your skin.
We like to give Charlotte a milk bath 1x a week or so!
I mix up this recipe (which is usually enough for 2 or 3 baths)

1/2 cup cornstarch (soothes and relieves dry, itchy skin)
1/2 cup baking soda (skin softener)
Essential oil of your choice (I put in about 10 drops of lavender)
Combine the powdered milk, cornstarch and baking soda in a large glass container. Put the lid on and shake the jar until the powders are completely mixed.

Remove the cap and add the essential oil. Re-cap the jar and shake to combine.
Let sit for 24 hours before using, to let the ingredients and the essential oil completely combine.

When it comes time for her bath I use about a 1 cup to 1 1/2 cup of the milk bath and just drop it in the tub.

As far as the flowers, they're totally optional. I just love adding them because well they're so pretty and she has fun playing with them. I usually just throw in flower petals from an existing bouquet I have that's starting to wilt. but I definitely don't add them every time.

I completely encourage you to give yourself or your babe the benefits of a milk bath! <3
It's a fun treat that I'll definitely be keeping around and doing daily.

* here's the link to the original recipe I used for easy reference.

After her bath is the most fun for me. We let her run around and dry off & ugh her nakey bum is just so cute! haha!
Then we've been using the tubbytodd baby line & young living essential oils to moisturize & soothe her from head to toe.
I prefer to use products that are more natural, especially on Charlotte & Tubby Todd's line smells absolutely incredible. oh my goodness.so.so.so yummy. every single product.

we rub Gentle Baby & Lavender essential oils on the bottoms of her feet & on her belly which calms and relaxes her & makes her the most kissable baby around. Every-time I use Gentle Baby on Charlotte, myself, or diffusing it in a room, It's never failed that someone mentions how wonderful the smell is.
